Sheila Mae

       In line with Proclamation No. 244, which designates September as National Clean-Up Month and the 17th to the 23rd of September as World Clean and Green Week, Ilocos Sur National High School actively participated in these environmental efforts. On September 13, 2024, the school organized a significant event titled "Paaralan ko, Linis ko: General Clean-up Drive." This event saw enthusiastic participation from various campus clubs, including the Filipino Club, of which I am a proud member. During the clean-up drive, students and faculty members worked hand-in-hand to clean, fix, and beautify the school premises. The event not only aimed at improving the physical environment of the school but also at fostering a sense of responsibility and community spirit among the participants.             Throughout the first quarter, I have made significant progress in various areas. I engage myself in different literary works and explored blogging, which enhanced my writing and analytical skills. Learning about the history and key figures behind the development of the internet and software broadened my understanding of technological advancements. I dedicated time to honing my problem-solving abilities in mathematics, which was both challenging and rewarding. Exploring concepts such as conscience, dignity, thoughts, actions, and freedom enriched my understanding of human behavior and ethics. Additionally, I became more aware of environmental issues and the importance of sustainability.      The journey was not without its hurdles. Adapting to new routines and expectations was challenging, and I faced fears related to academic performance and personal growth.
