Cabittaogan Diaries: A Community-Based Exploration of Beauty and Culture

Cabittaogan Diaries:
A Community-Based Exploration of Beauty and Culture

Our Community-Based Research (CBR) journey was an enriching experience that allowed us to explore the hidden gems of Barangay Cabittaogan. By focusing on this area, we aimed to highlight its various tourist destinations and understand the community's insights and perspectives. So, this is our journey when we conducted our Community-Based Research (CBR):

First, we decided that we would be focusing on Barangay Cabittaogan because we knew that there were a lot of tourist destinations there. After that, our leader, Misno Rabino, assigned us which parts we are going to do in our CBR. Afterwards, after we knew our parts, we decided to go to our group member's house, Venice Daine Rabo, to discuss what we were going to do first and what the flow of our CBR would be. And we decided to take some pictures of some tourist destinations, which are their chapel and the cross in the front of their elementary school.

After that day, we went to Sitio Punta to interview some residents there for a better understanding of our topic in our research. We took some photos again of tourist destinations there; one is the Shrine, and the second one is the Sitio Punta Beach. When we see that there are people who are available to interview, we take the opportunity to ask questions. We interviewed Mr. Carlos Asuncion, a former mayor of our municipality. Another one is Mr. Casimiro Rabo, grandfather of one of our members, Venice Daine Rabo.

The next day, we went again to the house of our member, and then we decided to think and do our respective parts in our CBR. Afterwards, we send it in our group chat so everyone will read it and give their opinions, ideas, and recommendations. We also went to the last tourist destination we know, the Villa Rodriguez Resort. We took some photos again for our Media gallery.

After which, we figure out how to do our web page design. We recall all the codes we discussed and used in our activities during the 2nd and 3rd quarters. And we also watch tutorials on YouTube for us to have a better outcome of our web page design. We took almost 2 weeks to complete and polish our web page design.

On January 30, 2025, we conducted our presentation of our CBR titled "Doon PO Sa Amin; Munting Pasyalan, Aming Pinapahalagahan: Our Tourist Spot, Our Nurtured Beauty" in our ICT room. We deliver it naturally in front of our classmates. After that, we took some pictures there with our CBR Web Page Design.

And that is our journey throughout our community-based research. Our CBR journey was a collaborative and rewarding experience that enhanced our understanding of Barangay Cabittaogan's tourist spots and the community's perspectives. Through teamwork and dedication, we successfully created a meaningful project that we are proud of. This experience has inspired us to continue exploring and highlighting the beauty of our local communities.
